What is Sentinel?
A semi-automated system to track the files of a website and restore any file that has been hacked (added, changed, or deleted).
It will handle the Wordpress Core as well as any themes and plugins that are maintained on wordpress.org.
For themes and plugins that are not downloadable, for media, and any other directory in the /wp-content/ directory, protections are more challenging.
No easy way to know if a changed, added, or deleted file was from a legitimate update, or a hacker.
For those files, other checks are done to try to find potentially hacked files.
